How YOU Can Support Your Friends, Family, Colleagues & Business Connections On Social Media Every Day With Minimum Effort!

If asked, most people would say that they’d like to support their friends, family, colleagues or business connections on social media. But the reality is that supporting takes effort or can cost money if you purchase their products/services.

However, that doesn’t actually have to be the case. For example, say you are in a networking group and attend regular networking events where you’ve made some great friends/connections.  The ethos of the group is to support, send referrals or introductions to each other. Then it’s true, these do take time and effort but can be very effective ways to help.

Something else you can do that takes no time at all and very little effort, but will help them hugely, is to spend a few seconds each day either liking, commenting, sharing or saving their social media posts. Yes it’s really that simple 🥰

Don’t just scroll past their posts, take some kind of action on the post or better still, take a couple of actions.  Perhaps you could like the post and then comment on it or share it or save it? Comments are gold, especially meaningful comments ie a proper sentence rather than one or two words that a bot could have written.

The more people who interact with a post tells the algorithms that the post is of value and then the algorithms will show that post to more people. The more people who see the post means more exposure for your friend, colleague or business connection and ultimately that may lead to new opportunities, enquiries, connections or followers for them.

Imagine the impact YOU could have if you were to quickly interact with 5, 10, 15 or even 20 businesses every day for a month!😱 Which would probably take you about 10/15 minutes each day, that’s all!

PLUS there are benefits for you too:
1) It will make you feel great for having helped so many people each day
2) The more posts you comment on the more people will actually see your name and business too
3) If you’re commenting regularly on other people’s post you’ll probably find that they’ll start commenting back on your posts too😂

It really is a win, win situation.

Go on, give it a whirl – they’ll really appreciate it 🥰

Instagram™ Captions

You wouldn’t believe how many people I train who don’t use the caption section on an Instagram post or perhaps they just put a couple of hashtags in there.

Although Instagram is a visual platform, the caption section does play an important role.

Captions are valuable to your Instagram content strategy in a number of ways.

  1. They can help you boost brand awareness by capturing the attention of a wider audience with #hashtags
  2. They can also leave a lasting emotional impact on your viewers and customers
  3. They add context to your image
  4. And adding keywords to the caption section helps the algorithms understand what your post is about. Remember, Instagram’s algorithms need to be able to identify your posts so they can determine when to show them to your target audience. The more information you can provide, the better.

Next time you post on Instagram show some love to your captions.
