Welcome to this week’s Rachel’s Social Snippets #79 – Bringing you the latest social media news to help keep you up-to-date.

Meta™ – Tests Paid Subscriptions On Instagram
Meta is testing a paid subscription called Instagram Plus in a few countries, giving everyday users access to exclusive features for a small monthly fee.
Most businesses won’t need this. Focus on getting the basics right before paying for extra features.
Meta™ – Shares New Facebook Content Monetization Tips
Varying content types, focusing on original material and avoiding engagement bait can all lead to more rewards for creators.
Nothing new here! Consistent, original content has always been the thing that works.
Meta™ – Turning IG & FB Into Affiliate Sales Machines
This is a clear play to turn every post into a storefront, giving creators new ways to earn while Meta captures a bigger cut of the commerce boom.
Useful if selling products, but not every post needs to be a sales post. Balance still matters.
LinkedIn™ – Shares Tips On Using Articles To Enhance Engagement
LinkedIn provided new tips on how to maximise the performance of long-form articles and tap into rising engagement with longer posts.
Long-form can work well on LinkedIn, but only if it’s clear, relevant and easy to read.
Instagram™ – To Animate Your Photos With New AI Tool
Instagram are rolling out a new AI feature is a huge shift toward effortless video creation, letting anyone produce scroll-stopping content without filming a thing.
A helpful tool, but content still needs a clear message, movement alone won’t hold attention.
TikTok™ – Addictive New “Mini Drama” Feed Could Be Next Big Hit
This could turn TikTok into a binge-worthy storytelling platform and open a whole new lane for creators and brands.
Interesting shift, but only worth exploring if it genuinely fits how your audience consumes content.

Instagram Trial Reels
Did you know you can test a Reel on Instagram before you actually send it to your followers!
Instagram Trial Reels allow creators to post content exclusively to non-followers first, acting as a low-pressure “test flight” for new ideas. They help boost reach, test engagement (hooks, topics, styles) without risking follower alienation and provide data-driven insights to determine if content deserves a permanent spot on your feed.

LinkedIn has changed quite a bit over the past few months. If your profile hasn’t had a refresh for a while, it will most likely need a few small adjustments to make it more algorithm friendly.
Amongst other things, I offer 1–2–1 profile reviews with clear, honest feedback on what to improve and what to leave as it is. Happy to have a conversation if helpful.🥰
That’s your lot for this week. I’ll be back next week with another round of updates, a practical tip and more what’s on training wise.
Have a great Easter weekend
Warmest regards.
